Helen Long is a blogger and freelance writer. She writes on a whole host of topics, but takes a particular interest in the arts, health and current events. She completed her BA in German and Hispanic Studies at the University of Nottingham, and spent a year proofreading and teaching English across Europe. With a view to document every cultural stumble and novel experience that travel affords, she started to blog. Much to her own surprise, a deeply satirical voice emerged from between the words, lending itself quite nicely to the oft despondent tone of current events. Helen has been writing ever since, contributing opinion articles to London Student and reviewing local theatre productions for A Younger Theatre. Unsurprisingly, along with language and grammar, books sit close to her heart. Book talk is a common feature on her blog, as well as amused thoughts and a drab of political commentary.
