Author: Ruth Cocksedge
Ruth Cocksedge is the Health & Well-being editor of the Lucy Writers’ Platform. A chartered psychologist, she has worked extensively in mental health services and higher education, and now works independently as a psychologist. She is about to graduate with an MSt in Creative Writing from Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge, and is proud to be a member of the College. Her dissertation was a play about psychological therapy. Writing is a relatively new venture, but Ruth enjoyed being involved in the Cavendish Chronicle, doing interviews and writing short articles for students about wellbeing and health issues, as well as submitting some poetry and a short memoir. One of her next ventures is a creative writing forum supporting expressive writing as both a therapeutic and creative method. She is still getting used to the idea of being some sort of writer, and is interested in health, mental health, and talking therapy. If you’d like to be interviewed about work you are doing in the broad fields of health and mental health, or experiences of receiving or providing health care, she’d be pleased to hear from you at ruth.cocksedge@icloud.com
